Intermountain offers behavioral healthcare services ranging from outpatient to inpatient. Our organization is located in the state capital of Montana which offers year round recreational opportunities supporting a balance of professional and personal life. We are currently recruiting an experienced Accountant. This role supports Intermountain’s goal of fiscal sustainability balanced with the achievement quality clinical outcomes. The Accountant works with the Finance Team to develop and implement internal protocols and create a culture of high performance and accountability. An Accountant performs a wide variety of functions including transactional processing, financial analysis, and annual budget development and monitoring, cost allocation, monthly forecasts, program and annual audit support and the implementation of financial and compliance controls. This role serves as a key resource for the organization and provides daily financial oversight to ensure that the financial records are complete, accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles, policies and regulations, to facilitate solid decision support. Additionally, this role works proactively and cooperatively with Operation and Cost Center Managers and staff to educate, problem solve, and implement solutions. Intermountain is soliciting interested prospects who have demonstrated experience in implementing financial principles; including accounting, preparing reports, auditing, and monitoring financial controls. In fulfilling these and other responsibilities, s/he must be both comfortable and proficient in establishing, monitoring and achieving targets for both self and team members. Applicants must be a self-starter who has exceptional oral and written communication skills, is passionate for non-profit and missional work. Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus 5 (five) years of related accounting experience. A Certified Public Accountant, CA, ACCA or equivalent is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a high degree of proficiency in Excel and Word. Experience with Financial Edge, Raisers Edge (or other Constituent Relationship Management Software), Accounts Payable/Expense/Invoicing systems, and electronic medical records is preferred. Requires a valid Montana driver’s license. Montana is an explorer’s paradise brimming with wilderness, solitude, beauty and wonder.
