Description | Intermountain Children’s Services is recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). A visionary multi-site, multi-service non-profit agency that has been impacting the lives of children and families in scenic Helena, Montana, Intermountain has been a core community organization for over 100 years. The CFO plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the agency’s financial planning, accounting, and financial reporting, fiscal and asset management activities. The CFO works with the Director of Finance, Business Office, and staff to administer all accounting policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position plans, directs, evaluates and prepares various comprehensive and complex records and reports necessary for legal, moral, and ethical fiscal functioning of Intermountain, as well as those financial reports required by outside agencies and organizations. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this position provides vision and leadership to address current and future needs, anticipates administrative changes and develops strategies for driving change and achieving Intermountain’s mission. The CFO communicates and works well with all levels of employees, possesses expertise in the application of technology and works with SLT in business development, preparation for a changing environment, and driving strategic intent. Ideal candidate possesses a Master’s in Business Administration and 10 – 15 years minimum experience in various increasingly responsible financial and administrative positions with proven supervisory experience. Certified Public Accountant certification is strongly preferred. Must possess knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, current principles and practices of budgeting and investments, agency’s policies and procedures, superior written and verbal communication skills, and skill in reengineering operations and procedures. Incumbent must possess the ability to effectively plan and develop computerized systems, develop concise and timely financial reports, and advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
