Overview:

When a struggling, emotionally dysregulated child is unable to maintain in the family, school and community, a nurturing family-like atmosphere can be the best setting for stabilization, and treatment.   Our Residential Program provides professional, integrated, intermediate residential care adapted for the individual needs of each child. The focus is first stabilizing the child and family and then providing a holistic, attainable pathway to improved functioning.

Summary:

This role provides professional direct care services on a day to day basis in one of our “cottages” that house 8 children.  It is a family like environment and you would perform familial day to day tasks and activities including playing and recreating with the children.  Counselor I is an entry level position with with supervision, guidelines, direction, support and training from the treatment team. Counselor I participates in the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu according to each child’s treatment plan and our treatment approach.

The knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this role are typically acquired through two (2) years related work experience. Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Social Science or closely-related field is preferred. Requires a valid Montana driver’s license.

Salary DOE, Starting Wage: $12.31 per hour.  An additional shift differential is offered at $1.00/hour for evening and weekend hours.  Examples of benefits offered include health insurance, retirement plan, and a rich personal leave benefit.
