Intermountain, a visionary non-profit that has been impacting the lives of children and families in Montana for over 100 years, is seeking an experienced Director of Development. The Director of Development creates and executes a multi-year department plan, integrating all development components in the accomplishment of ambitious fundraising goals. This position coordinates and oversees all strategic activities of Intermountain’s Development efforts, including developing and revising department processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and ability to meet performance measures.

Intermountain is soliciting interested prospects who have demonstrated experience in the core components of fundraising, including Annual Campaign, Grants, Major Gifts, Planned Gifts and the incremental processes of effective Moves Management. Prospective applicants must have proven ability to provide leadership and direction to employees performing Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Foundation Relations and Prospect Research. In fulfilling these and other responsibilities, s/he must be both comfortable and proficient in establishing, monitoring and achieving a comprehensive set of performance-based metrics and targets for both self and team members. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who has exceptional oral and written communication skills, is passionate for the mission, and is highly professional, gracious and approachable.

Ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years progressively responsible experience in fundraising and development at a nonprofit. Certification in applicable subject preferred, such as Certified Fund Raising Executive. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office and Raiser’s Edge. Must possess a valid Montana driver’s license.

Starting salary of $58,000, consider higher based on qualifications and accomplishments.
