Description

The primary role of the Family Based Services Family Aide is to provide support to the FBS child and their families, for treatment of the child.  The Family Aide must be a High School Graduate and have two years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children or providing direct services in a human services field or be a high school graduate with a combination of education and experience equivalent to 2 years experience.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Establish a positive relationship with the FBS families and children.
  2. Plans and implements activities that support the goals and objectives of each child’s individual Treatment Plan or plan and implement activities for groups.
  3. Attend Treatment Plan Reviews, when this does not conflict with other duties, and provide input as sought from the treatment team.
  4. Attend any ongoing or Intermountain mandatory trainings as deemed appropriate by the supervisor or treatment team.
  5. Serve as positive adult role model by promoting an atmosphere of safety, trust and healthy relationships.
  6. Communicate any progress and impediments to providing services to the Treatment Coordinator.
  7. Communicate with a variety of team and community members.
  8. Function as a positive team member to help promote a culture of trust, honesty and openness and be willing to provide, as well as receive and implement feedback. Show a willingness to approach and be approached by others with questions and concerns.
  9. Knowledge of and ability to follow agency policies and procedures and utilize all forms.
  10. Logs accurately, concisely, and timely according to agency procedures. Assures all entries involving subjective interpretation of child’s progress are supplemented with a description of the actual behavior observed, as well as how staff has intervened to make it therapeutic.
  11. Holds a current MT Driver’s License.

This is an intermittent position.

Salary DOE, Starting Wage: $10.63 per hour
