We want to talk to you!Intermountain is recruiting for a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work in our Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic. The PMHNP (APRN) provides outpatient psychiatric assessment and psychotropic medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5-21. The PMH-NP is responsible for managing the prescription of psychotropic medication and explaining to the child and parents/guardians target symptoms, expected results, risks, benefits, and possible side effects of medication. Other duties to include timely documentation and billing, and assisting in staff development through training as directed. Minimum requirements include Master’s degree from accredited school of Advanced Practice Registered Nursing, current Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license from State of Montana and prescriptive authority. Ideal candidate comes with more than one year experience working with and prescribing psychotropics for children. Must also possess knowledge of psychiatric illness and psychotropic medication use in children; have adequate therapeutic skills to engender trust from clinic patients and their families; ability to deal with adults and staff of varying levels of training with respect and professionalism; and be current in treatment, research and theoretical aspects of the field of children’s mental health and psychopharmacology.
