Intermountain: Healing Through Healthy Relationships

How You Can Make a Difference

Art Ulene“I want people who are thinking of supporting Intermountain financially to know that they are not just supporting a school or building a playground. You are saving lives, literally saving these children from the scrap heap of life.”

Arthur Ulene, M.D., Former Health Correspondent for NBC’s Today Show.

You can become a part of this healing mission of hope.

Your support, at any level, will help Intermountain broaden its impact as a lifeline for emotionally impoverished children. You can be a valuable partner in this effort to eradicate the epidemic of relational poverty.

Consider Adoption

Intermountain addresses both the treatment needs of our children and their need for permanent homes. Many children have unique emotional needs when their normal childhood development has been compromised by chaotic, neglectful, abusive or uncertain home environments. We place boys and girls ages 3-17 into permanent adoptive homes and provide extensive training and support to build families.

Give generously to our annual campaign

Your unrestricted gifts enable us to allocate funds where they are needed most so that our standard of excellence will not be compromised. Establishing this short-term financial agility goes hand in hand with vigorously pursuing our long-term vision of securing emotional health and a loving, permanent family for each child. Your gifts to our annual campaign make it possible for Intermountain to recruit, train, support and retain our most valuable asset: our staff!

For more information, contact Intermountain.

Join the Caring Friend Monthly Giving Society

You may become one of many generous monthly donors who consistently give on an ongoing basis to support the important work our staff undertakes every month with the children.

For more information, contact Intermountain.

In-kind Giving

Due to the consistent support from our friends and community, and the shortage of storage space, there may be some items that may not best serve the needs of our children and staff. We do everything we can to be good stewards of the in-kind gifts that Intermountain receives and if you have an item(s) that may be questionable, please call Denni Perkins at 406-459-5191.

Larger items such as new vehicles, washers/dryers, and furniture are examples of items that we may need but would also require a discussion.

Investing in Intermountain’s endowment

The realization of a vision as ambitious and long-term as Intermountain’s requires a healthy endowment.  Historically, a significant portion of Intermountain’s annual revenue has come from governmental funding. Due to the ever-shifting sands of political priority, the future of these revenues is in question.  We are working diligently to strike a balance between public and private opportunities, but that balance has yet to be achieved. Due to the high cost of providing quality treatment, revenue shortfalls are a yearly occurrence at Intermountain.  Your investment in our endowment through a direct gift now, or a planned gift will help Intermountain meet this critical goal.

Special Events

Your participation in and/or volunteering for our primary special event, Festival of Trees, is one way you can get to know Intermountain and also help with a gift of time and talents.

Churches for Children

Working together with our three supporting mission churches, the United Methodist Church, The Presbyterian Church and the United Church of Christ, we, as good stewards of Brother Van’s legacy, will continually and passionately pursue Intermountain’s vision of a healthy, permanent family for EVERY child. Together, we can build on yesterday’s success in order to realize a whole new dimension of hope for the next generation of children.
