Preparations underway for Festival Of Trees

Intermountain in Helena has been has been serving families and children in the community for over 100 years and for the past 25 years their biggest fundraiser of the year is the Festival Of Trees.

Over the past 25 years the event has brought in more than $2 million dollars for Intermountain and last year alone $236,000 was raised, meaning this year could be bigger than ever.

Intermountain communications director Glenna Wortman-Obie said, “This is our largest fundraiser of the year…and of course we are in the middle of a capital campaign. This year we are really focusing a lot of attention on our brand new community services down on 3240 Dredge Drive and that will be opening in January.”

For first-year tree designer Brook Logan the new community service center is in her mind throughout the decorating process; she noted, “It has been really fun and exciting.”

Last year the single tree auction record was set at $18,500.
