Healing Through Healthy relationships

We Can Help

At Intermountain, through clinically sound treatment and safe nurturing relationships, we achieve effective and enduring outcomes for children and families. Because our staff's deep, healing relationships with children are essential to the continued effectiveness of our model, we diligently recruit and retain the best and brightest professionals. Longevity of both leadership and direct care staff is hallmark of Intermountain. As an organization, we hold ourselves accountable to lead, impact our world, and advocate for the well being of struggling children and families.

We can help you through the following programs.

Residential Program      back to the top

Intermountain's nationally recognized Residential Program applies a unique, multi-service approach, integrating relationships, therapy, academics and recreational services to provide individualized treatment for children ages 4-12. We use a clinically sound, highly integrated developmental-relational model to treat emotionally disturbed girls and boys.

Adoption & Family Support Program   back to the top

Intermountain strengthens families (birth, kinship, pre-adoptive, post-adoptive) by providing extensive training and support to build secure and trusting relationships with children and adolescents ages 3-17. This program focuses on integration by working closely with area schools, community therapists, and social workers serving families within an hours drive of Helena and Great Falls, Montana.

Intensive Day Treatment Program      back to the top

Students under severe emotional distress, ages 5-12, attend school year-round and receive therapeutic services. They return home after school and the program expectation is 100% family participation. Our belief is that for the child to make lasting changes, the entire family needs to grow and heal together.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic   back to the top

Addressing childhood and adolescent mental health issues at their onset can have a dramatic impact on how those issues become evident as an adult. The clinic, (serving the greater Helena, Montana area) addresses issues while the child's home routines and relationships are intact, preventing them from entering a residential program.

Partnership for Children      back to the top

A joint venture of Intermountain and Youth Homes, this program provides therapeutic group care and permanent foster care for children, ages 4-11, in Missoula, Montana. Our therapeutic group-care program offers residential treatment in community-based group homes. The foster care program provides therapeutic foster care for children in need of a permanent family.
